For some it’s an elusive search. The search for happiness – how to find lasting joy. God shows through in our lives.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. God uses the small people. The giants of the faith are those who will bow under His mighty hand and He will lift them up.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart. We can know sure comfort – knowing that God is in control.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. “Meekness is strength under control.” Receive the Word with meekness. Meekness is a surrender of our will to God’s will.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. How wee need a craving for more of God. Some appetites will leave us empty – an appetite for money, pleasure, security… God blesses the ones who seek for His righteousness. Righteousness – it means “being right with God.”
Happiness comes from putting things in perspective… placing your priority on the things of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God… here are true riches.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Mercy is the very character of God. Show mercy. Walk in grace.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Get a right heart attitude.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Promote and maintain peace. God wants us to heal broken relationships. Romans 12:18 “As much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake… Persecution makes you stronger.
Happiness is found in this. Psalm 144:15, “Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.”
