Fear the Lord
Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name (Psalm 86:11).
Wisdom starts here. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding (Proverbs 9:10). You haven’t begun to know anything without it. We need a revival of the fear of God.
If you fear God you’re going to keep your heart right. It’s going to show in your life. The fear of God will cause people to depart from evil (Proverbs 16:6). The fear of the LORD is to hate evil… (Proverbs 8:13). The fear of God will move us to reach others… By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house… (Hebrews 11:7).
When you become a Christian you enter into a new dimension. A new realm of thinking, behaving, acting, relating. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether (Psalm 19:9).
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31). Your soul is in great danger if you neglect so great salvation. Treat each day as if it were your last, because one day it will be.
