David was greatly distressed, but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. When you face desperate times, and face great trouble, you can still gain encouragement in the Lord. Take heart. Take fresh courage. Turn to the Lord your God. Rest in His promises and inquire of Him.

Isaiah 57:15. Revival is a renewed sense of God’s overwhelming HOLINESS and a sense of the sinfulness of sin. The wonder is that the Holy One would want to visit and reside with man.
God dwells with those who have a HUMILITY of spirit – as we learn to prayerfully depend upon Him (James 4:10).
God revives the HEART of the contrite ones – the repentant heart. Is our heart right with God?

His Word dwells in us richly, as we teach and admonish one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord (Ephesians 5:17-21, Colossians 3:16). Our Lord is seeking true worshippers… Singing truths, singing doctrine, singing and making melody in their hearts to the Lord.
